BACK FROM GRIME TO GLAMOUR
By Tuesday morning - the day after Carnival when the borough goes from glamour to grime - the streets of Notting Hill are already pristine again and Westbourne Grove open for business. As the waft of jerk chicken weakens, we wonder, where are the best night time haunts in this now quieter corner of the Royal Borough?
Annie Lennox, Jenson Button and Sienna Miller are all regulars at this hotspot which serves Mediterranean food - the best of Europe and North Africa - to the chic and regular locals.

Beach Blanket Babylon
This restaurant and bar set in a Georgian mansion right around from the Leon Max store on Westbourne Grove is a cool date place known for its eclectic interior design and fabulous chandeliered private room which Tom Ford has used for private dinners. The ‘Porn Star’ cocktail is a house special amidst this mad blending of the Baroque and Rococo.

‘Proper, hearty and rustic’ food is how Bumpkin - where the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge had their office party last Christmas and was recently nominated runner up by the Observer monthly for best Sunday lunch Roast.

This is proper posh food - Modern French with hints of Pacific and British - and has 2 Michelin stars. And voted one of the worlds 50 best restaurants.
127 Ledbury Road, W11
This bar with one of the most popular front terraces in town last December saw Kate Moss and Cara Delevingne attend the launch of the new Leon Max store round the corner. Inside is a long bar serving fine, modern cocktails and a cool, candlelit main seating area making this one of the hippest bars on the Hill.
